Notes from a victim and survivor

I first met Pope in around 1992, when I was a 5 year old little girl. living in South London. He quickly started grooming me, and spent the next 7 years sexually abusing me on a daily basis. He would laugh as he did these terrible things, it aroused and amused him to molest and hurt an innocent little girl.

He was also emotionally abusive, he would tell me horrible, foul things about myself, words which still affect me deeply decades later. He did his best to isolate me from everyone but him. All the while he presented a respectable face to the outside world, working, winning medals in athletics and spending time with his 2 young sons.

I was too scared to tell anyone as this was happening, and when the truth finally came out (in my teens), I had a nervous breakdown, and was too unwell to pursue legal action. The following years of my life were marked with severe mental illness, the legacy of his actions. By the time (in my 30s) I was well enough to pursue action, he had suffered a stroke, and was too incapacitated to stand trial.

He has since died, and was never held to account.  I wish he had been brought to justice, but that is impossible now. This website stands as a "tribute" to his appalling actions, the only way I have of telling the world what he truly was, and what he did. He cannot hurt anyone now, or deny his disgusting crimes.
